Schultz Partners facilitates the merger of SEME Electrical Engineering and SJ Electric
Perth-based SEME Electrical Engineering was founded in 1967 by the Separovich family. The company is a major provider of security, fire detection, telphone and data installations, cell call intercoms and nurse call installations.
Following discussions with SEME Managing Director, John Separovich, Schultz Partners approached SJ Electrical, a Melbourne based company known to be seeking acquisitions and mergers with synergistic companies around Australia.
Advent Private Capital, a private equity group with which Schultz Partners has a long-standing relationship provided capital to the consortium to allow shareholders to realise a portion of their investment in the new entity and to fund further acquisitions.
In a press release announcing the merger, John Separovich said "I am absolutely thrilled to be continuing our path of growth and success with SJ Australasia, now we can move forward on this journey with the significant Australia wide resources and complimentary disciplines and skill that the SJ group brings to the merger".
The SJ group has over 600 staff and provides services to a wide range of customers in the industrial, commercial and government sectors.
SJ Electric recently completed a re-branding exercise to mark the significance of its new position in the market. It is now called Trivantage Group.
